sign transaction

Signing means that your wallet approves the exact transaction payload shown by Snow-Fall.

A signature does not always broadcast the transaction immediately. It adds your approval to the multisig signature collection.

Before signing

Review every field carefully:

  • chain name and chain ID;
  • multisig address;
  • your signer address;
  • recipient, validator, or proposal ID;
  • amount and denom;
  • fee and gas limit;
  • memo;
  • payload hash.
  • Do not sign if something looks wrong or unexpected.

    Step-by-step

    1. Open the transaction page or signer link.

    2. Connect the expected wallet.

    3. Review the transaction details in Snow-Fall.

    4. Click sign.

    5. Review the wallet popup.

    6. Approve only if the details match.

    7. Wait for Snow-Fall to record the signature.

    8. Confirm your signer status changed to signed.

    What happens after you sign

    Snow-Fall records your signature and updates the signature progress.

    The transaction remains pending until enough signer weight is collected. Once the threshold is reached, the transaction becomes ready to finalize.

    Payload lock

    After the first signature, Snow-Fall locks the signing payload.

    This protects signers from approving a transaction that changes halfway through the process. Any change requires a new transaction draft and new signatures.

    Signature links

    A signature link may be shared with a specific signer.

    Only use links from trusted team members. Do not forward signer links to other people. A signer link should only be used by the intended signer.

    When not to sign

    Reject the request when:

  • the chain is wrong;
  • the recipient or validator is unfamiliar;
  • the amount is unexpected;
  • the memo is suspicious;
  • the fee is too high;
  • the wallet shows a different message than Snow-Fall;
  • someone pressures you to sign quickly.
  • When in doubt, pause and ask the team to verify.
